In this segment from Plum TV's DocStock, Paper Magazine editor Rebecca Carroll interviews producer/director Luci Westphal about her documentary All's Well and Fair (in post-production at the time).

The entire episode first aired on Plum TV in August 2007.

All’s Well and Fair gives a unique perspective on growth and identity, choice and consequence, through portraying three punk rock mothers and their children over a 10-year interval of life on the fringes of society.

Giving voice to the three mothers and their five children, All’s Well and Fair questions the stereotypes of “welfare moms” and alternative culture. It also examines the pitfalls of capitalism and mass market culture and living on the cusp of poverty.

Through the unique approach of filming the women and their children twice over ten years, in 1996 and 2006, All’s Well and Fair furthermore considers how much we all change as we grow up and how much we might stay the same.
