PROJECT SUMMARY

All God's Children is a feature-length documentary that takes a personal look at the consequences of child abuse within the missionary community through the eyes of three former missionary families. While the parents were stationed in remote outposts throughout West Africa, the children - starting at the age of 6 - were required to attend a missionary boarding school in Mamou, Guinea. Cut off from their parents and without any reliable means of communication, the children suffered extensive abuse at the hands of the all-missionary staff.

It took the children decades to acknowledge the effects the abuses had on their lives. When they finally dared to speak out, their Church was not as apologetic and embracing as they had hoped. The children and their parents took action…

With this film we want to help prevent history from tragically repeating itself and bring hope and encouragement to those who have already fallen victim.

All God's Children will be the first film addressing issues of abuse within the Protestant missionary community.

CURRENT STATUS

With a grant from the Jerome Foundation, generous donations and personal funds, we were able to film the interviews with the three families and a representative of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Now we are very close to a final cut of All God's Children. To be able to actually finish the film and be able to screen it we will need to pay for a sound-mix and color-timing.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

However small or large of a donation you can afford to give, it will not only be appreciated, but it will be used to its fullest to finish the film. For your donation you will receive special thanks in the credits unless you prefer to remain anonymous. For donations of $100 or more you will receive a complimentary DVD or VHS Tape of the film once completed (please make sure you give us your mailing address).

Tax-Deductible Donation by Check:
Currently, the only way to make your donation tax-deductible is by writing a check to our fiscal sponsor: the International Documentary Association (IDA), a not-for profit organization with 501(c)3 status. They will forward your donation minus 5% to us. Please write "Donation to All God's Children" into the memo section of your check. Please mail the check to the address below.
